Mishustin suggests postponing Sochi forum amid coronavirus

MOSCOW, Feb 3 (PRIME) -- Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin on Monday suggested postponing the Russian Investment Forum, which was to take place in Sochi on February 12–14, over coronavirus outbreak.

“We have discussed this situation on several occasions. I propose that we do not cancel, but postpone, as we discussed, to other dates and, in this sense, think, of course, first of all, about the safety of health of our citizens, participants of the forum,” Mishustin said at a government meeting.

He also ordered Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko and Finance Minister Anton Siluanov to think about how to compensate the organizers of the forum for the costs they incurred and discuss with them possible dates for the event.
